Paralegal – Family Department

We are looking for an enthusiastic paralegal to join our award winning Family team. This is a great opportunity to work alongside and learn from a team of experienced solicitors covering a full range of family work.
Your work as a family paralegal will mainly consist of assisting the solicitors in the team by dealing/speaking with existing and new clients, drafting documents, reading and summarising documents e.g. medical notes, contact records, police disclosure, attending court with counsel and working on Legal Aid applications.
We expect a pro-active approach, excellent client care skills, efficient working and attention to detail. The role will require you to work as an individual and as part of a team.
Experience is desirable but not essential, training will be provided.
Please note that there will be an opportunity to apply for a training contract starting in October 2025. Candidates must have completed the LPC or SQE 1 before applying.

Please note that you will be required to work in the office for your probationary period to ensure you settle in, however going forward you will have the option to work from home 40% of the time.
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent role which will be based at our Newcastle office.
