Chambers 2025
Team DG are celebrating after achieving our best ever ratings in the annual independent rankings from Chambers and Partners released today (17/10/24). Chambers has over 200 researchers around the world and conducts 285,000 interviews annually to find the best rated law firms and lawyers. We were pleased to host representatives in our Newcastle office from Chambers recently to discuss the law sector within the North East.
Our Chamber Success 2025
- Our family law team – retained band 1 ranking in the North East category
- Criminal defence team- retained band 1 ranking in the North East category
- Mental Health team – recognised in band 2 in the UK wide category for the first time for their work supporting patients
Many of our individual solicitors were also recognised:
- Elspeth Thomson maintained her position as an Eminent Practitioner in family law within the North East area
- Lucy Mead in the family law category within the North East and also recognised in a spotlight position for the first time in the ADR category
- Lesley Monkhouse in the family law category within the North East
- Claire Hunter recognised for the first time in the family law category within the North East
- Bryony Rest in the personal immigration UK wide category
- Emma Silburn for her work in Court of Protection and Mental Health Patient Law which are both UK wide categories
- Paul Harbison recognised for the first time in the Mental Health Patient category which is UK wide and noted as an ‘Associate to watch’.
