I am an associate solicitor working in the family department; I have experience in a number of areas of family law including pre-proceedings child protection, care proceedings, domestic abuse, divorce and finance and private children matters. I am a member of the Law Society Children Panel which means I can represent children in law proceedings.
During training I also gained experience in civil litigation, housing, conveyancing and wills and probate, however the majority of my time has been spent in the family department.
I understand the people I advise often need to tell me highly sensitive and upsetting information and I will always try to take an understanding and supportive approach.
I am organised, pay attention to detail and work hard to keep my clients informed. I try to meet the individual needs of each of my clients and provide them with all options available to them, helping them reach a decision that best meets their needs and those of their loved ones.
I graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2012 achieving First Class Honours. I then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at BPP Leeds and achieved a Distinction. I started working with the firm as a paralegal in the family department in August 2014. I qualified as a solicitor in April 2018 and have been working in the family department since then.
